This examination is conducted to determine the eligibility of candidates who wish to become teachers in government and government-aided schools across Jharkhand. Candidates who want to teach classes 1 to 5 or classes 6 to 8 must qualify this examination. For Paper I (Primary Teacher), candidates should have passed 10+2 with at least 50 percent marks along with Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed). For Paper II (Upper Primary Teacher), candidates should possess a graduation degree along with Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
